Apple has been selling its products in retail stores all over the world now for ten years. Apple is going to celebrate, it is just that people are not sure what to expect from Apple. Is Apple going to unveil a new product or software? The evidence that something is afoot is certainly very strong.
Employees at stores were emailed and told they could not take any vacation days between May 20th and the 22nd. Each employee will be required to work those days and sources say the managers are “very excited” for that time coming up this month. Also, the overnight shift will need to have ten to fifteen employees on hand in the overnight Saturday and into Sunday. Stores have the hardware needed to install so far, but more is expected to arrive at stores this week.
Employees are required to not use their cellphones, locking them up in the main office and had to sign a non-disclosure agreement with Apple. All of this information makes just about anything sound like it’s a pretty big deal. Many meetings and planning is going into this celebration and reports say that employees will be blocking customers view, using black curtains, of the store as they work inside. The meetings for employees is so they can get some much needed training before May 20th.
Experts and geeks alike, have been trying to guess what is going down, but nothing will be known until Apple makes an official comment, which I would bet is coming very soon. What could the celebration be?
